BULGUR WHEAT 500g

The paper bag is a huge win for my zero-waste kitchen, and the wheat itself holds up nicely in a cold salad after a quick soak. I’ve already made two batches of tabbouleh with it and the texture is spot on.

The paper bag it comes in is a nice touch—recyclable and sturdy enough to reseal with a clip. Boiled up in about 15 minutes and the texture was perfect for a tabbouleh, fluffy but with a bit of chew.

I swapped my usual couscous for this and the texture is noticeably heartier, holds its bite really well. Cooks up in about ten minutes and the fact the bag goes straight in the recycling bin makes it feel like a better choice all round.
