The jar arrived with the oil separated on top, which I took as a good sign there’s nothing weird inside—just the whole nut, no palm fat or emulsifiers. Stirred it up and the roastiness comes through in every spoonful, even straight from the fridge it stays smooth.
Finally a nut butter that tastes like actual roasted cashews, not sugar or palm oil. The texture is smooth and slightly runny straight from the jar, which makes it perfect for drizzling over porridge. Only downside is the oil separates a bit, but a quick stir fixes it.
I’ve been spreading this on toast every morning and love that it’s just roasted nuts with nothing else added. The small-batch roasting really comes through in the deep, toasty flavor, and each 170g jar lasts me about a week.
