The nutty flavor of the whole spelt grain really comes through, and I love that it's a wholegrain pasta that doesn't turn to mush. It held its shape nicely in a hearty sauce, and the texture felt more substantial than regular penne.
Cooked up perfectly al dente and held its shape even after a few minutes in the sauce, which is rare for whole wheat. The texture is pleasantly firm without being chewy, and it’s been my go-to for a quick weeknight dinner.
The nutty flavor of the spelt comes through even with a heavy pesto, and the pasta held its bite perfectly after simmering. Only wish the package were bigger since my family finished it in one sitting.
