Biona Organic Flageoletbonen zijn romig, zacht en delicaat van smaak. I love how these beans hold their shape perfectly in my summer salads – even after a quick rinse they stay firm and tender. The lack of salt means I can season exactly how I want without any metallic aftertaste.
Creamy texture and no added salt are exactly what I wanted for a clean soup base, though the beans were slightly softer than I prefer for salads.
The creaminess is there, but I was a bit disappointed they came out a little mushy after simmering for soup – the no-salt thing means you really have to season them yourself. Still, they work fine in a salad if you're careful not to overcook.
